Chelsea's Eden Hazard voted Belgium Player of the Year by fans ahead of fellow Premier League stars Kevin De Bruyne and Romelu Lukaku

Chelsea's Eden Hazard has been voted Belgium Player of the Year by the fans while Premier League rivals Kevin De Bruyne and Romelu Lukaku sit second and third respectively. Belgium's official Twitter account posted the final results, which were collected by an online survey, on Tuesday afternoon and it has certainly been a good day for the country's Premier League crop.

Hazard topped the 'Devil of the Year' standings, while Manchester City's De Bruyne took second and Lukaku of Manchester United claimed third.

Hazard picked up an impressive 10,280 votes, while De Bruyne received 4,710 and Lukaku earned 3,223.
Hazard, who won the Premier League with Chelsea in May, also enjoyed a fine 2017 for his national team, helping Belgium qualify for next summer's highly-anticipated World Cup in Russia in emphatic fashion.
Only Germany - with a 100-per-cent record - qualified with a better return from the UEFA World Cup qualification pool.
Roberto Martinez's side drew just one game as they ran away with their group, scoring 43 goals from 10 matches and conceding just six times.
Romelu Lukaku enjoyed a fine 2017 for his country, grabbing third place in the fans' vote
Meanwhile, third-placed Lukaku averaged a goal every 57 minutes and notched 11 in total.
On Christmas Day, the Belgian Football Association announced a list of fourteen players from which the fans could choose their Player of the Year.
