Andreas Christensen signs new Chelsea contract until 2022

Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen has signed a new four-and-a-half year deal with the club.
The Denmark international has established himself as a first-team regular this season after spending the last two seasons with Bundesliga outfit Borussia Monchengladbach.
The 21-year-old signed for Chelsea at the age of 16 on a free transfer from Bronby and he’s filled in amicably during David Luiz’s absence in the last two months.
Chelsea are keen to tie Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois down to new deals at the club but they’ve kicked off with handing fresh terms to Chiristensen until 2022.
It feels really good to sign a new contract and I’m just happy to be committed to Chelsea for the future,’ said Christensen.
‘I’ve played a lot of games, I’m enjoying it at the club and everything is working well.’
